Sejong International Summer School (2 weeks program)

South Korea’s thriving economy, dynamic culture, history, and proximity to both China and Japan make it an ideal study abroad location. Sejong University’s International Summer School offers international students a unique opportunity to experience the rich culture of Korea and North-East Asia through coursework, special performances, and organized trips.

Sejong University & Location

Sejong University’s campus is located in Seoul, the capital of South Korea and ever-expanding cosmopolitan center for shopping, business, tourism, culture, art, and history. Sejong University was founded in 1940 and has steadily grown since then. Today, Sejong University ranks among the top private universities in South Korea for its academic programs and research publications.

Introduction
The Sejong University International Summer School brings students from universities around the world together in an exploration of Korea and East Asia. Students will participate in academic courses, cultural excursions, and industry visits, spending over thirty academic hours in the classroom and many more hours gaining first-hand experience and knowledge of Korean history, business, culture, and society.
The Sejong University International Summer School offers Korean language classes and an opportunity to experience Korean traditional culture for those who are interested in learning about Korea. The participants will attend Korean language classes taught by the Center’s Korean teachers. Also, a variety of cultural activities including K-pop and K-pop dances classes will be offered.

Samsung Public Relations Center
Samsung Electronics recently completed this very impressive three-story gallery to showcase their newest technological products, as well as those currently under development. Guests are invited to touch, see, and fully experience Samsung’s latest innovations.
Namdaemun / Dongdaemun Market
Korea’s two largest and oldest traditional markets, Namdaemun and Dongdaemun offer shoppers thousands of products—from the commonplace to the exotic. Information is available for local residents and tourists, and free interpretation services are readily offered to foreign tourists.
Pukhansan National Park
Pukhansan National Park is a rare national park in that it lies within a city. The park is ecologically isolated, surrounded by the Seoul Metropolitan area; yet, it plays an important role as a “green lung” for the city. More than five million people visit the mountain every year.
Sejong University Museum
The Sejong University Museum was constructed on the model of a 1500 year-old Paekje pagoda to house more than 4,000 valuable relics and artifacts. The museum is designed to encourage and facilitate research in many academic areas including Korean culture, art, folklore, and archaeology.
K-pop music &
dance class
You will learn how to do the latest and hottest K-pop dance moves. You will join other participants from different cultural backgrounds to form a group and present a group performance.

Program Fees and Expenses

$1,500 per student (Includes application and tuition fees, accommodation fees, certificate, transportation and ticket costs for excursions and company visits, service and support.) Discounts available for students from international partner universities or institutions.
- Optional: If you pay additional $200 in advance, you can stay extra 2 weeks (14 days) in the dormitory after the program.

Accommodation

Sejong University provides summer study students with housing in the campus dormitory. Each room will be shared by two or three students and is fully furnished and air-conditioned, offering students excellent accommodation during their stay.
